"Big Red", a Texas Longhorn by Sandra R Cutrer

UPDATE- SOLD!!!

"Big Red" is an original oil painting of a large Texas Longhorn bull. I applied the oils thickly and loosely with palette knives on a 24" x 30" x 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas. All sides are painted a dark hue, so you can easily hang Big Red without a frame! By clicking on the close up shots you should be able to view the thickness of the paint.

My husband and I love the long horned cattle. We sometimes ride around in the country areas, looking for these beauties to photograph. Once in awhile, I get a very friendly ( or very inquisitive) bull, or cow, that will come up really close to inspect my camera. I try to back away, although I am always safely behind barbed wire or steel fences, I don't want to have to chase after one who might end up being a fast "snitch"!
Thank you for reading my blog and looking at my work. If you are interested in purchasing this piece, or any of my other paintings, please scroll through my blog photos and listed prices. I can be contacted at: sandrasart777@aol.com . I love taking commissions!
