Rio Grande, a turkey in oils by Sandra Cutrer

"Rio Grande", an original oil painting of the very breed a Rio Grande wild turkey. I think he is a magnificent bird. A friend of mine captured him on his camera, allowing me to paint this beautiful scene. "Rio" was coming out of heavy fog, just starting to break in the southern part of Texas, where my friend has enjoyed hunting over several decades. I thought this grande bird looked to be parting a heavy curtain on his own wildlife stage, ready to show his "stuff" to any of the ladies hanging around the area.

Painted on a professional art board, 10" x 14" in quality oils. Oops, this piece SOLD!

All of my prices are listed on my blog- see photos below, or on my website @ sandracutrer.com
