"Southern Gentleman" Rooster in oils by Sandra R Cutrer

"Southern Gentleman" is an original work, painted in many layers of thick buttery oils, on a large 24"x 30" x1.5" stretched canvas. All sides are painted a dark hue, so no need to frame!
So many rich warm colors makes this rooster a winner for any decor. I named him,"Southern Gentleman" because he seems to be taking a gentleman's bow. In so doing, he certainly has to be a southern born and bred rooster...besides being photographed in South Carolina, then painted in Texas by a true Louisiana girl! It was a such fun creating this painting. I had the canvas layered and drying for weeks, waiting for the perfect object that would work well on top of these colors and thick texture. I think it works well, and shows off the beauty of the rooster.

OOPS! You just missed purchasing "Southern Gentleman", as he recently SOLD! But, I would love to paint one similar just for you! Please contact me for more information.

Abstract oils on canvas by Sandra R Cutrer

Abstract in oils by Sandra R. Cutrer.
Painted  with thick oils on a stretched wrapped canvas-12" x 12" x 1.5"- all sides painted a dark hue. This painting was super therapeutic for me. When you have a lot going on, as in a ton of unwanted stuff on your plate- things unexpected, some times heart-breaking, and there seems to be no way to unburden yourself, "Pray for God's perfect peace, then paint" is my motto! I have sold several abstract paintings. I don't know if the people who buy them can see the heavy emotions that I put into them, or they see their own emotions and a story, but either way it makes me happy that I paint.

All of my prices are listed on this blog's photo listing, or please visit my website @ sandracutrer.com

The LORD Jesus promised us tribulation, while we were in this world. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).

Reaching Up! by Sandra Reeves Cutrer

"Reaching UP!" was one of my favorite abstracts.

SOLD-you can still buy a print on canvas, or paper, etc.! See my work at : Sandra-Cutrer.artistwebsites.com.

I love green- my favorite color, and it's complimentary color, of course, is red. This painting reminded me of the wonderful rain we had today. Last year pretty much the whole state of Texas was trying hard to survive a very long and hard drought, with many losing their homes and businesses. When I heard the loud thunder, and saw the lightning flash (okay, so I am really not thrilled to see lightning), I could have danced around my house. We need that rain! As soon as it was over, and thankfully that was a good few hours later, my newly planted spring flowers where standing straight and a little taller, reaching up to the sun with  new found energy from their thirsty roots bursting from that good soaking!

Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

Blessings,
Sandra Reeves Cutrer

"Abstract" by Sandra Reeves Cutrer

Now part of a private collection. This painting was done in thick acrylics and oils, using copper, gold, green and other earth tones.
I love painting with earth tones. My home decor is full of earth tones. I find them calming and serene. Wasn't God smart to give us such harmony in nature. Such awesome colors here and there, perfect balance in all things- whether under the great depths of the mysterious seas and oceans, all the way up to the highest mountain tops- there is color- whether reflective light, our own shadows, or cast shadows, there is color.
Sold- prints are available at Sandra-Cutrer.artistwebsites.com
