"Javan" is a tiger portrait painted in oils on an 8" x 10" art panel (board). He is named "Javan" in memory of the tigers of Java, near Bali, where they are extinct. It is sad that over the years several breeds of tigers are no longer upon the earth where God intended them to live and roam freely. I could find only a few photos of Javan tigers on the web. It is heart breaking that so many animals are extinct, or becoming extinct because of poachers, poisons, or their habitat has been destroyed.

"Ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind."
