Prima Donna $125.00- by Sandra Reeves Cutrer

Prima Donna, or "First Lady"

Cats can be so funny, so unpredictable, and sometimes moody! But, they can keep you laughing, smiling, and just plain happy to be alive. They seem to take everything with a grain of salt. If you watch a cat closely, you can learn a lot about how life should be. They don't worry about life- or death, they stretch after every nap (great for the muscles), expect their food from their master-on time, know when to back off, pressuring no one. They can take love, but prefer to give it on their own terms. I've had many dogs and cats through-out my life, and much prefer cats. Don't get me wrong, dogs are great in so many ways, but a cat seems to fit my personality like a nice pair of gloves. 12" x 12" x 1" gallery wrapped canvas ( all sides painted a dark hue) $125.00

Whether you are a cat lover, dog lover, or both, all animals are God's precious creatures. We should be kind to all, and appreciate each ones gift to mankind.

"O Lord, You preserve both man and beast." Psalm 36:6

Crown of Courage $575.00- by Sandra Reeves Cutrer

"Crown of Courage"

What is courage?
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, the Symbolism for courage is the lion. It is sometimes seen as a depiction of Christ's triumph over sin (see Revelation 5:5). It also is a symbol in some cultures as a savior of the people who live in a community with sin and corruption. There are so many examples of everyday courage in the world we live in. We know that as long as the Lord's holy spirit is on the earth, we will see good things, true courage,Godly pride, and love.It is when God takes his spirit out of here, that we will lack courage- of any kind, no love will exist, and no peace will be found. God wants us each to have the courage it takes to live for HIM, do what is right, and know that we will have our reward one day-soon! This big guy is painted in oils on a large, 24"x30"x1.5" stretched gallery wrapped canvas (all sides are painted). $575.00

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

Slim Pickins, rooster, chicken, original art, oil painting

"Slim Pickins" is a colorful, and very bossy rooster. He is painted in oils on a stretched canvas measuring 12"x 24".This guy was fussing at the hens who would dare to come near him, seemingly hoping that he might share whatever it was that he was pecking at. He put up a huge fuss as several tried their luck, making me think just maybe there really wasn't that much there, or either he was just being his bossy old self! OOPS- this piece is sold! I can paint something similar to him just for you. Please contact me for my very reasonable prices!

I am pretty sure this old guy has never read:
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Luke 6:38

Rings of Fire by Sandra Reeves Cutrer

"Rings of Fire" is painted in oils, on an 18" x 20" stretched canvas. Although it is sold, prints are available at: Sandra-Cutrer.artistwebsites.com.

I am so glad to be back home after a long trip to see family and friends in several southern states. My husband and I also took the time out to travel a little (without anyone else this time), visiting "our" beloved Biltmore Estate, located in Asheville,North Carolina. Although we have been there many times, each time we enter those enormous gates, we never cease to momentarily lose our breath at the hugeness of the house. We haven't been able to travel to Biltmore in 10 years, and a few things had changed that did not please us very well, and still there were other new things that were nice. Change should be added to the list of things we can't avoid besides taxes and death...

1 Corinthians 1:3
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Happy New Year to everyone- actually, Happy 2012 ( the whole 365 days) and may God's blessings be poured out on you and your family,

Mr. and Mrs. Don Key by Sandra Reeves Cutrer

A very pregnant Mrs Don Key and her very excited "husband" met me at the fence when I was wanting to take a few photos. Although I'd rather think they were excited to see me, I think they were both looking for a special treat- like an apple or a sweet carrot! $125.00- NO SHIPPING CHARGES if mailed inside the USA!

Although there are no Bible scriptures to confirm Mary rode on the back of a donkey on her way to Bethlehem, we like to think she did. I like to think there are still soft whispers among the little donkeys until this very day, wondering if they are cousins of that honored one who saw the Christ child after carrying the expectant mother all of those miles from home.

Matthew 1: 23 "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel, "Which means God with us." (NIV)

Pride & Sorrow drawing by Sandra Reeves Cutrer

Pride and Sorrow

We could have learned so much from the Native American Indians of yesteryear. So much pride in family, concern for the land they roamed or settled on, what love they showed for things made with their hands, their belief in God (although maybe different than American denominational beliefs), their concern was for their people, their heritage, the land that God had loaned to them, the animals God had given them for food. They never wasted a thing, always being thankful in the smallest of blessings! Their sorrow came form seeing the white man destroy all of this; taking and not giving back. Many died form broken hearts. When we choose to close our heart off to others, we have snuffed out the blessings God wants to give us. We have taped down the "gift" box, buried it, never to see what was inside. Open our eyes,oh Lord, so that we may see... all men are made in the image of God...

Romans 1:19-20 - since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. (NIV)

Well, there you go- pointed ears makes for better hearing, as Santa has to make sure all of the little boys and girls are fast asleep before he makes his entrance!
