Just the first lay-in. I am spending some much needed time with our grand daughters in Louisiana. Although they go to school all day, I am staying busy helping their dad catch up on chores and things around the house since his heart attack. We had lost so many family members over the years to heart disease, making it really tough for our family. I have been getting out with him to walk an hour each morning, hoping to get him back to his life soon.
I think about these elephants, how family oriented they are, so protective of their young and other young in their herd. Elephants grieve for those that die off in their herd and family, touching and rubbing their dead with their trunks, crying and moaning. It is such a heart wrenching thing to see.
We should all appreciate, love, and spend quality time with our family and friends because we never know when they could be taken from us with out notice.
And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27
