Finished! "Flamboyant", a close-up of a very pink flamingo that had its eye on me at The Birmingham,AL Zoo. I really had to work, work,work on this one to get it just right. I wanted to make sure his beauty stood out, and yet he made a statement about his independence and the fearlessness I would quickly be shown if I came just a little too close-that eye meant business! It is a 24" x 24" x 2.5" gallery wrapped canvas. All of the thick sides are painted a dark hue, so there is no need to frame. I love this painting.
