Wow,
there are so many advantages of being an artist! Not only do we get to
create things from our hearts, but we have an open door to meeting so
many interesting and talented people who understand our love, passion,
and sometimes struggles of being right-brained!
I recently wrote a newsletter about my
husband and I traveling to the Llano,Texas area, meeting a super talented
western artist,Jack Moss.We were actually staying in beautiful Marble
Falls, and saved their old downtown area for our last day of vacation.
We were overjoyed to walk into a beautiful art center ( recently
beautifully remodeled) named, "Highland Arts Guild", and meet some of
their very talented (and super friendly) artist. Their work is displayed
in an easy to view set-up, making it fun to take a second and even a
third look! I can't express how talented these Texas artist are! My
husband and I enjoyed talking to several of the ladies painting that
day, and I regret not taking photos of some of the work on display. If
you are interested in seeing their work, please copy and paste the
website address I have included at the very bottom of this page, and see
just what I've been talking about!
I am excited that cooler days are on the way, and
hoping the holidays will come with cool weather as well! I will never
forget our first Christmas after moving to southeast Texas, since it snowed
several inches, but we were in Louisiana! We got home to Texas on
Christmas morning at 2:00 AM to enjoy the beauty (and cold) with our
small granddaughters!
Please visit my website soon for some new art pieces, like this one titled, "Chick Magnet"
And, if I don't post before the holidays, I'd
like to wish you and yours a very blessed Thanksgiving and a truly MERRY
Christmas!!!
Blessings,
