Three Horses Native American completed!
"Three Horses" has finally been completed!
If you've read my previous blog, you saw my beginning work on "Three Horses". My reference material is a photograph from the famous and gifted photographer, Edward S. Curtis. My title is the name of his photo, but I am still not sure what tribe this brave is a member of, as it was not mentioned. His photos are in public domain- free to use- so no laws or copyright infringements here! I always try to be extra careful and respect the rights of other artist, as well as I hope all will respect mine. I love the amazing works of Edward S. Curtis. Please, Google his name, if you aren't already familiar with his work, and enjoy some of the many photographs of Native Americans in his (over 100 year old) collection.
The holidays pulled me out of my studio for awhile, as my husband and I traveled back home to our native state of Louisiana, spending much needed time with our families. Time does fly quickly, and we are already two days in to the New Year! I hope all of you had a wonderful and blessed Christmas, and enjoyed your New Year's Day as well! I spent time cooking, relaxing, reading, doing a little painting, and updating my art website, and preparing for what we all dread- upcoming tax time! Did I mention that I don't care for tax time or all of the extra paper/computer entry work???
Happy New Year to you all, as well as a blessed and safe, healthy and successful 2015!
Blessings,
Sandra Cutrer
