A very pregnant Mrs Don Key and her very excited "husband" met me at the fence when I tried to capture a few photos. Although I'd like think they were excited to see me, I think they were both looking for a special treat- like an apple or a sweet carrot!
Mr and Mrs Don Key are painted in oils on a 16 x 20 inch canvas- ready to frame. $125.00 plus $15.00 shipping and insurance inside the USA.
Matthew 1: 23 "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel, "Which means God with us." (NIV)

Tatanka, a Bison Portrait in oils by Sandra R Cutrer
Tatanka, means Bison in the Native American Indian language.
This big guy seems to be standing his ground, maybe chasing away rival males from his harem. My husband, younger son, and I traveled to the Midwestern states a few years back. A bison similar to this one decided to run a little on the main road- in the state park traffic. Thankfully, everyone knew to stop driving until he made up his mind where he wanted to go!
Tatanka is painted on an 8" x 8" x 0.50" stretched canvas, with all sides painted in a dark hue- making it easy to hang him unframed, or placed in your favorite frame.Prices are listed on my photo listing- on this blog or please visit my website @ sandracutrer.com for more information.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makes me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8.
Blessings,

Prima Donna, a Siamese cat portrait by Sandra R Cutrer
Prima Donna, or "First Lady"
Whether you are a cat lover, dog lover, or both, animals are God's precious creatures. We should be kind to all, and appreciate each one's gift to mankind.
Prima Donna is painted on a 12" x 12" x 1" gallery wrapped canvas- all sides painted a dark hue, so there is no need to frame.
I love taking commissions, and have done several through accepting online photos of the animals. Please contact me with any questions about purchasing this piece, or having your own loving pet portrait created in oils! I will work with you on prices, and offer a layaway plan just right for you.

Nebit, a Leopard Portrait in oils by Sandra R Cutrer

Nebit, a variant of the Egyptian word for leopard. A close-up and personal portrait of one of the most powerful wild cats. Leopards are loners, not belonging to a pride, pack, or family of its own kind. I think it is amazing that these cats can carry their prey- three times heavier than themselves- up a tree so others, like lions and hyenas don't steal it from them!
I love painting wild life portraits, and showing the details of each one's uniqueness. I hope you'll enjoy the extra photos- showing how I did my layers of oil paint to create Nebit!
Painted on a professional artist board, 9" x 12", ready for framing. So much detail, so realistic, this painting would look great in any room! For pricing, please scroll my blog's main page photos.

"The Orange" with MacIntosh Apples by Sandra Reeves Cutrer
"The Orange" is painted in oils on an 8"x10" artist board. Please contact me at sandrasart777@aol.com.
I love apples, especially sweet ones, like Macintosh,Rome, or Jonathan. I thought it would be fun to line up a few of my Macintosh apples, then on impulse, I grabbed one of my navel oranges. Right off I could tell which would stand-out, as in " take-charge" [of the painting], be the dominate one, and maybe a little showy? And, without a doubt, quiet different from the rest of the "crowd".
We are all unique, and we should be comfortable being who God made us to be. He gives us all the freedom to make choices- good and bad ones. He loves who we are (no,not our sin), and we should never feel the need to act like anyone else.
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." Psalm 139:13
"Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." Luke 12:7
Today, let's be happy with who we are, what we look like, and the gifts that our heavenly Father has given us.
Blessings,

"Big Red", a Texas Longhorn by Sandra R Cutrer
UPDATE- SOLD!!!
"Big Red" is an original oil painting of a large Texas Longhorn bull. I applied the oils thickly and loosely with palette knives on a 24" x 30" x 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas. All sides are painted a dark hue, so you can easily hang Big Red without a frame! By clicking on the close up shots you should be able to view the thickness of the paint.
My husband and I love the long horned cattle. We sometimes ride around in the country areas, looking for these beauties to photograph. Once in awhile, I get a very friendly ( or very inquisitive) bull, or cow, that will come up really close to inspect my camera. I try to back away, although I am always safely behind barbed wire or steel fences, I don't want to have to chase after one who might end up being a fast "snitch"!
Hebrews 4:13 - No created thing is hidden from Him; everything is uncovered and stretched fully open to the eyes of the one to whom we must give account of ourselves
